Review: Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste

I think we can all agree that there are so many toothpastes on the market with whitening products in them. I have tried many different brands and I honestly can't say that I have had any GREAT results. I was beyond excited to find the Luster NOW! Instant Whitening Toothpaste in the Influenster "Something Blue" VoxBox! I had seen the brand in a magazine I subscribe to so I was eager to try it out immediately.

Now, this toothpaste works to remove stains from your teeth with daily use, but not only does it work to remove staining it also makes your smile seem more white and brighter after EVERY use! It contains Bluverite which is meant to give the optical effect of whiter teeth which I must say, that is pretty awesome! It comes in a nice dark blue, sleek tube and the color of the actual toothpaste is a very pretty light blue.

I'm always worried about the taste. I love a fresh, minty taste, it really makes me feel like germs are just killing off! I was really surprised that this toothpaste actually tasted very minty with no weird aftertaste and the nice flavor lasted for awhile after brushing. 

I have sensitive teeth and normally I do have to use a sensitive toothpaste because if I don't, I risk my teeth hurting later on in the day. Luster NOW! is very gentle on teeth and I have yet to get any type of tooth pain while using this product which makes me SUPER happy because that really was my number one concern. 

I did take pictures of my teeth BEFORE and AFTER my very first use. Check out my INSTANT results!

The only issue I found, which isn't a huge one at all, is that the toothpaste tends to I guess "stick" to my gum line so I have to rinse my mouth a little more than with regular toothpaste but like I said, not a huge deal.

Kiss Nail Dress

 Kiss Nail Dress stickers are a perfect easy way to spice up your manicure! They come in a huge variety of colors/patterns are are great for special occasions or everyday use. You receive 28 strips in each package. Strips come in a variety of sizes and are made to fit almost all nail sizes. To apply just make sure the nail bed is free from polish and clean. Slowly apply the stickers making sure they go on smoothly and simply bend the end of the tip of your nail and file the excess off! If you find you have extra on the side of your nail you can gently file it off also. 

Kiss Nail Dress packages each come with the 28 stickers, a nail file, and a pamphlet showing all the unique designs available! Already have a great manicure? Don't worry Kiss Nail Dress stickers aren't just for nails, you can also use them on your toes :). All you need to do is flip the sticker over onto it's square side and do the same as you would do to your nails. 

As you can see in the above picture I have used one of the many varieties. Mine came with jeweled stickers and I could pick the way I wanted to use them. I like them a lot because it made my manicure look fabulous and I didn't have to wait for them to dry! I did have a few issues getting them on smoothly but this was my first time trying them out. These stickers lasted me a little over a week and that's through showering, doing dishes, etc.

All in all, I rate the Kiss Nail Dress stickers a 9 out of 10!

Influenster: Holiday VoxBox 2012!

I was so lucky to be chosen to receive the Holiday VoxBox 2012 by Influenster!

-GOODY Quikstyle Hairbrush: At first I didn't have any idea of what the concept of this brush was supposed to be. I had never seen or heard anything about it. After reading the information on the packaging I was intrigued! The brush is designed to shorten the time it takes the hair to dry. The unique soft, blue padding you see in the brush is made to soak up water and the back of the brush is made thick with vented areas. The brush has a large and comfortable in the hand. I was worried about it catching and holding bacteria from it remaining wet but sure enough it is made to where it will NOT hold bacteria! AWESOME!

-KISS Naildress: I have seen these but never tried them. They look super fun and easy to use. All you need to do is clean the nail bed, place the stickers on the nail, fold down the top, and file the remaining sticker off. These can last up to a week+. Can't wait to try them. You can find a ton of different patterns/designs in this brand.

-NYC Lipshine: I got the color in Nude York City which is a great color as you can see above. I haven't tried any lip products from this brand but I have heard good things! I haven't tried it yet but I did open it. The brush is nice and it smells like cake! Who doesn't love nude lips and cake?!

-EBOOST: I have actually received EBOOST in past VoxBoxes. I was excited to try the pink lemonade flavor this time because honestly I wasn't fond of the orange flavor. I can't tell you how this flavor taste yet but I can tell you the product idea itself is great! It does give you that little energy boost that we could ALL use. It's super easy and convenient and works quickly!

  -Quaker Real Medley's Oatmeal: I received the flavor Apple Walnut. I am super excited to try this. We purchase instant oatmeal all the time, it's really convenient for our busy schedule and helps to make sure we have include breakfast as a meal. These seem great because they come in a cup of their own and you just add water so you can easily take to work or on the go. Can't wait to try this!

Language learning programs for kids!

 

My son and I watched the Dino Lingo video clip in English! It was very enjoyable for us both. He paid attention the whole time and loved the different characters. He was pointed and talking along with the video. When the video clip was finished my son wanted to watch it again, so we did! He really seemed interested in the words on the screen and also the colors. The colors were very vibrant and kid friendly. The characters talked at a nice pace and made it easier for him to understand the words they were saying. He also seemed to really like the music because he started dancing as it came on!

Kiss Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit

I was SO happy to see the Kiss Ever Pro Lash Starter Kit in my Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012! I have seen these in my local Walgreens so many times and have thought about picking them up but for some reason I never did...and I wish I would have! These are AWESOME lashes made of 100% human hair. They are thick and full and look great for everyday use. 

As you can see from the picture you receive one set of lashes, lash glue, and a tool to help apply the lashes. I do wear false lashes often but I still have a bit of trouble putting them on and this tool helped with that GREATLY! It makes handeling them hassle free. I'm mostly iffy on lash glue. I have had to go through several brands to find one that I felt not only held the longest but was easily washed off. With the glue included in the kit my lashes stayed on an entire 8 hours and probably would have lasted much longer but I was ready to remove them. After removing them the glue came off nicely with my everyday use makeup wipes! There was absolutely no mess with these. I got tons of comments that day asking me if these were my REAL eyelashes :). 

I used the eyelashes according to the instructions listed below:

 To Use: Simply apply glue to the lash band and let set for 30-60 seconds for adhesive to become slightly clear and tacky. Using the PRO Lash Applicator, apply lashes along the natural lash line. Hold, allowing adhesive to dry completely. Do the same to the second eyelash. Both lashes have a perfect fit!

This lash kit retails for $4.99 at most drugstores. I recommend these for all false lash wearers and beginners looking to start!

I received the compact in "Dark Shadows". This was a product in my Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 and I was SUPER excited to get it! I haven't tried NYC brand in a long time. I heard that they have really improved on a lot of their products and this product definitely proves that. 

As you see, you get four eyeshadows on the left BUT on the right you also get an eye primer to use prior to putting on your eyeshadow as well as an illuminator! I think that is so neat because not many brands include a primer in a compact/palette. These eyeshadows are very pigmented which is great and the primer and illuminator are both very creamy. One of the main things I love about these eyeshadows is that they go on smooth and are extremely easy to blend! If an eyeshadow is to difficult to blend I tend not to fool with it. 

The other REALLY cool thing about these custom compacts is you can get them to match your eye color! I believe the Dark Shadows are suitable for almost any eye but they do make ones for greens, blues, hazel, and so on. These palettes are around $4.99 at drugstores which is an awesome price, you can also find other items in their line for as low as $.99! Like I said, I haven't used anything by NYC in a while but after trying this and falling in love I will be making future purchases for sure.

Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

I LOVE this cute little mini candle. I recieved this in my Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012. I was really excited to receive this candle because I haven't used a Bath & Body Works candle in years. I was also unaware of this scent so that made it so much better! My first impression of the scent was it was unique and clean. It almost reminded me of a mens cologne and my fiance thought the same thing. I tried to figure out where in the house I would want to burn it and I chose my bathroom because it looked nice in there and I thought since this was a mini candle putting it in a smaller space I would get the most out of it...and I did!

Here is the exact description of the scent to give you a better idea:

"Mahogany Teakwood—The scents of fine woods-mahogany, cedarwood and oak – highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes conjure up an escape to a cozy library on a chilly fall day."

The quality of these candles is great! I could noticeably smell it in the air about 20 minutes after I lit it and by about 45 minutes later it had filled my whole bathroom. I do believe that for how small they are they last awhile. I have had mine lit about 3 times for about 3 hours and still have quite a bit remaining. Bath & Body Works has MANY different scents to choose from and if i'm correct this mini candles run about $3.50 or sometimes you may find them 2 for $5. These would be great for any small areas around the house or stocking stuffers this Christmas. You can get this one or other scents in different sizes from the mini, small, medium, and the 3 wick, which those do last awhile!
