Dino Lingo

Language learning programs for kids!

My son and I watched the Dino Lingo video clip in English! It was very enjoyable for us both. He paid attention the whole time and loved the different characters. He was pointed and talking along with the video. When the video clip was finished my son wanted to watch it again, so we did! He really seemed interested in the words on the screen and also the colors. The colors were very vibrant and kid friendly. The characters talked at a nice pace and made it easier for him to understand the words they were saying. He also seemed to really like the music because he started dancing as it came on!

In this link below you will find a free lesson in English for you and your child to watch together.

I hope that you and your child enjoy this free lesson as much as my child and I

Kiss Ever PRO Lash Starter Kit

I was SO happy to see the Kiss Ever Pro Lash Starter Kit in my Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012! I have seen these in my local Walgreens so many times and have thought about picking them up but for some reason I never did...and I wish I would have! These are AWESOME lashes made of 100% human hair. They are thick and full and look great for everyday use.
As you can see from the picture you receive one set of lashes, lash glue, and a tool to help apply the lashes. I do wear false lashes often but I still have a bit of trouble putting them on and this tool helped with that GREATLY! It makes handeling them hassle free. I'm mostly iffy on lash glue. I have had to go through several brands to find one that I felt not only held the longest but was easily washed off. With the glue included in the kit my lashes stayed on an entire 8 hours and probably would have lasted much longer but I was ready to remove them. After removing them the glue came off nicely with my everyday use makeup wipes! There was absolutely no mess with these. I got tons of comments that day asking me if these were my REAL eyelashes :).
I used the eyelashes according to the instructions listed below:
To Use: Simply apply glue to the lash band and let set for 30-60 seconds for adhesive to become slightly clear and tacky. Using the PRO Lash Applicator, apply lashes along the natural lash line. Hold, allowing adhesive to dry completely. Do the same to the second eyelash. Both lashes have a perfect fit!
This lash kit retails for $4.99 at most drugstores. I recommend these for all false lash wearers and beginners looking to start!

NYC New York Color IndividualEyes Custom Compact

NYC IndividualEyes Custom Compact

I received the compact in "Dark Shadows". This was a product in my Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012 and I was SUPER excited to get it! I haven't tried NYC brand in a long time. I heard that they have really improved on a lot of their products and this product definitely proves that.
As you see, you get four eyeshadows on the left BUT on the right you also get an eye primer to use prior to putting on your eyeshadow as well as an illuminator! I think that is so neat because not many brands include a primer in a compact/palette. These eyeshadows are very pigmented which is great and the primer and illuminator are both very creamy. One of the main things I love about these eyeshadows is that they go on smooth and are extremely easy to blend! If an eyeshadow is to difficult to blend I tend not to fool with it.
The other REALLY cool thing about these custom compacts is you can get them to match your eye color! I believe the Dark Shadows are suitable for almost any eye but they do make ones for greens, blues, hazel, and so on. These palettes are around $4.99 at drugstores which is an awesome price, you can also find other items in their line for as low as $.99! Like I said, I haven't used anything by NYC in a while but after trying this and falling in love I will be making future purchases for sure.

Bath & Body Works Fall Mini Candle

Mahogany Teakwood

I LOVE this cute little mini candle. I recieved this in my Influenster Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012. I was really excited to receive this candle because I haven't used a Bath & Body Works candle in years. I was also unaware of this scent so that made it so much better! My first impression of the scent was it was unique and clean. It almost reminded me of a mens cologne and my fiance thought the same thing. I tried to figure out where in the house I would want to burn it and I chose my bathroom because it looked nice in there and I thought since this was a mini candle putting it in a smaller space I would get the most out of it...and I did!
Here is the exact description of the scent to give you a better idea:

"Mahogany Teakwood—The scents of fine woods-mahogany, cedarwood and oak – highlighted by delicate lavender and geranium notes conjure up an escape to a cozy library on a chilly fall day."
The quality of these candles is great! I could noticeably smell it in the air about 20 minutes after I lit it and by about 45 minutes later it had filled my whole bathroom. I do believe that for how small they are they last awhile. I have had mine lit about 3 times for about 3 hours and still have quite a bit remaining. Bath & Body Works has MANY different scents to choose from and if i'm correct this mini candles run about $3.50 or sometimes you may find them 2 for $5. These would be great for any small areas around the house or stocking stuffers this Christmas. You can get this one or other scents in different sizes from the mini, small, medium, and the 3 wick, which those do last awhile!

Beauty Blogger VoxBox 2012!

I was so excited when I found out I was chosen to receive the Beauty Blogger VoxBox! I absolutely love beauty products and everything in between. This was a GREAT box because I hadn't tried any of the products except the EBOOST which I received in the Naturals VoxBox.

Since I haven't tried these products before these reviews are solely based on first impressions. You will be able to read more about each product and my personal review after testing in separate blog posts. :)

What I received:
  • Bath & Body Works mini candle in the scent Mahogany Teakwook.
  • NYC IndividualEyes in Dark Shadows.
  • EBOOST in the flavor orange.
  • Goody Spin Pins.
  • Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves Frizz Control Hair Cream.
  • Kiss Ever Pro Lashes starter kit.
The Bath & Body Works candle is so cute, it's small but comes in a nice round, glass container with the label and name of the fragrance on the front. I really like the scent, it kind of reminds me a bit of a "manly" smell yet feminine at the same time. I will say I do believe it is unique. I haven't lit the candle yet so I do not know if you can actually smell it outside of the container, how much of an area it will cover, or how long it will last. I do know Bath & Body Works does make all their candles in bigger 3 wick containers and I have heard GREAT things about those. I believe I will burn this candle in a smaller space such as a bathroom.

The NYC IndividualEyes compact I received came in the name "Dark Shadows". I haven't used anything by this brand in a few years. I was excited to see that the compact contained not only 4 different eyeshadows but also a primer and illuminator! You don't see many companies including those products in with their compacts. The eyeshadows are in a white, silver, gray, and black. I am super excited to try this out. I did do a little swatch and the colors seem super pigmented. You can also get these compacts that are custom to match your eye color! How cool is that?! Also, the eyeshadows are labeled to help you create an awesome look. :)

I received the EBOOST in my Naturals VoxBox and again in this box. I was hoping to receive a different flavor but I did not. Since I have already tried this I will say I think the product itself is good. It works to boost your energy and immune system and is packed with all sorts of vitamins. The flavor is what I do NOT like. I have only been able to try the orange and to me, it didn't taste very good at all. I mixed it as stated by the directions and I could barely get the whole glass down. They do make other flavors that I may eventually try though.

I have seen Goody Spin Pins many times in the hair aisle but I have never even thought to pick them up. I don't use a lot of things in my hair usually just a clip to hold the small hairs up in the back. I am really looking forward to trying these though. I do have thick hair and a lot of it! I am hoping these will help hold my bun up better :). I did receive a color that DOES match my hair as well!

The Not Your Mother's Smooth Moves seems like perfect product for me. I have thick, frizzy hair and i'm actually not using a frizz control product for it right now so I was really excited to see this! It does have a nice coconut scent to it and it's not sticky on the hands. I haven't put it in my hair yet but I have heard great things about this brand and their line of products.

The last product I got was the Kiss Ever Pro Lashes starter kit. This comes with a set of false lashes, glue, and a tool to help put them on. I do wear false lashes but I have yet to try these. They look SUPER full and are made with human hair. They seem like a great lash for everyday use and I am excited that I will get to try them. I never pay a lot for my false lashes so these will really need to be something I fall in love with to pay the retail price for them.

I can't wait to review these products individually for you AFTER use, so be looking out for those to follow shortly :)

Influenster: Site MAKEOVER!

The Influenster site received a makeover recently if you haven't already noticed AND for those who are still unaware of what Influenster is about get ready because i'm here to explain!

Influenster is an awesome site, and it's name tells what it is most about: influencing others. You influence others by giving feedback and WOM about products and companies. When you purchase an awesome product you tell people about it am I right?! When you purchase a product your not fond of you also tell those around you about it. Influenster is a great program for people (like myself) who love to rant and rave about products! All you need to do to be apart of Influenster is sign up! Once you sign up you will need to get a feel of the site and figure out your next steps (I will give you a review of the new site down below). FIRST, you will want to connect ALL social networks you associate yourself with! Doing this will enable you to share more. Next, you will complete things called "badges" that fit your lifestyle/expertise. Be sure and choose carefully, there are many to choose from but you only get 5 EXPERT badges to start out with! Once you have carefully chosen your 5 badges to unlock you will follow all instructions, instructions may include: writing reviews of items you have purchased, sharing pages, taking a short survey, connecting a blog/vlog related to that specific topic, etc. You also have to chance to unlock LIFESTAGE badges, you can unlock as many of these that fit your life :). Once you have done those steps be sure and "LIKE" Influenster on Facebook to keep up with new information. NOW, the fun stuff! Once you have unlocked the badges you will be in the running to qualify for a VoxBox. VoxBox's come in many different themes. I have received a Naturals VoxBox and the Beauty Blogger VoxBox. What is a VoxBox? A VoxBox is a box full of awesome products, FREE, no catch whatsoever! If you scroll my blog or social networks you will see items I have received in my boxes! All you need to do is give feedback, take pictures, blog/vlog, etc! You also have to opportunity to earn more FREE products from "Brand Challenges". A brand challenge is an extra bonus in which you can follow instructions to win extra items from the companies that provided products for your box. To qualify for a themed VoxBox Influenster needs to think that box would really fit your lifestlye, it is also based on demographics, and who the company is looking for to test their products. It can take several months to qualify but do not get discouraged! Now that you have the jist of what Influenster is, I am going to explore the NEW makeover with you below :D!

I am loving the new and improved Influenster site. It is cleaner, well organized, review pages are easier to find, as well as your badges, etc. The main thing I like about the new site is the SCORE system. You now have an Influenster score! This is based on a wide variety of things: feedback, reviews, sharing, people referred and their activity, and more. You should login to Influenster often and participate to keep a good score! It takes a lot of work to get to a 100 but I hear it is VERY worth it. Not only do you have an Influenster score, but your expert badges have a score as well! You can raise your score by simply posting reviews that others find helpful, sharing pages that others find interesting, and answering questions. You will love seeing a "100" on those badges! Once chosen for a VoxBox you will receive it and need to check your box in on the website, after that is done your ready to blog/vlog, review, and whatever it is you do! You will see all the mandatory and non-mandatory tasks in your "fun file" found on your profile. I love how the "fun file" is super organized and makes the tasks so easy to complete! The one things you want to make sure you complete to qualify for future boxes is your MANDATORY VoxBox surveys! Not completing these could result in losses of future boxes, so if you plan on just getting in for the free products...this program may not be for you. It's not hard to complete the surveys/tasks. I actually find them enjoyable! I hope you will sign up, if you need an invite please feel free to let me know as I have 4 left! I will link the site for you below, thanks!

SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap

The SheaMoisture Baby Bar Soap is GREAT for those who suffer from eczema. It is ORGANIC and contains raw shea butter, chamomile, and argan oil. I have a 17 month old son who suffers from eczema and itchy arms. I myself also suffer from redness and bumpy arms. I was super excited about this soap and here were my results with it:

The first time I used this on my son I noticed immediate results. The redness in his arms subsided, the bumps were still there BUT I noticed he did not itch at his arms for the rest of the day or any the next day. We have tried a wide variety of products ranging from Aveeno baby, creams, and other brands of soaps and nothing has given us the results SheaMoisture have. His skin was noticeable soft and it left him smelling GREAT! The scent is a really soft, clean smell. The soap suds up perfect and I feel like i'm getting a great amount of product on his body without using a ton. The soap doesn't get very slippery and it stays good in the shower when not using. I do not use bar soaps a lot because I feel they dry out to soon and start to crack but not this one! I actually cut a little off to use on myself, it also made my skin soft and smooth and my arms less itchy. I am looking forward to researching into this brand and seeing what other products are available. I love that it has natural ingredients and it makes me feel great about using it on my babies sensitive skin. I recommend this to all moms who have babies with skin problems and even to those who do not.

You can find this product and their whole line at:

You can find these products at Walgreen's and select Target's as well as a few other retailers.

*I received this product complimentary through Influenster.

Influenster Naturals VoxBox 2012

Influenters Naturals VoxBox 2012!

What I received:
  • Geodeo deodorant in "Island".
  • SheaMoisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Baby Eczema bar soap.
  • Lypsyl lip balm.
  • Dish drying mat.
  • Eboost in the flavor "orange"
  • CleanWell hand sanitizing wipes.
*These are all based on first impressions of products*

My FIRST impression on the deodorant is it smells AWESOME! It almost smells similar to something you would find in a lotion. It is clear and it states "24 hour" protection. It is made of natural ingredients and I am SUPER excited to try this product out. I am always looking for new things to try and this is something I have never heard of.

I have a 16 month old son who suffers from eczema on his arms, we have tried Aveeno, baby creams, etc. This is a product I was extremely excited about. I plan on cutting it in half and using it on myself also. I did open the side and smell it and the scent is great, very clean smelling and fresh like. I look forward to trying this item. You can find these items at Target I believe.

Lip balm is something I always have on hand. I am a Burt's Bee's lover but the Lypsyl looks very interesting. It has a cute little bee on the side that you push up to move the lip balm and it has a minty smell similar to Burt's Bee's. I have never tried anything from this brand but I did put this on my lips and I already love it after one use! The packaging awesome and it's easy to throw in the purse. You can find this brand I believe at most Walgreen's.

The dish drying mat was great to receive. I do not own one and have always let my dishes dry on a towel. I'm excited to try this item because it feels really thick and is supposed to absorb 4 times it's weight in water. It is a perfect fit for my counter and the color matches really well. It is a cream color. This will be a great addition to my kitchen :). You can find this product at Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

Eboost is something I have heard of before but never tried. I received the flavor "orange". I normally don't try a lot of things like this because the flavor is usually unbearable for me. I have heard this does have an orange cream type of taste so I will for sure be trying this soon. It is supposed to help give you a natural energy boost.

CleanWell hand sanitizing wipes are alcohol free which is GREAT because I love to throw things like this in my son's diaper bag. I have not heard of this brand but I am glad I am being introduced to this. It can be used to clean the hands AND the face! I believe you can find these products at Target. I have heard they are a bit pricey as well.

I am so excited I was chosen for the Naturals VoxBox. It fits in great with my lifestyle and I received products I would have never thought to try. I will be blogging on products individually as I test them out :)

*I received these items FREE from Influenster to test out and give an honest review.

The Original™ Dish Drying Mat

The Original Dish Drying Mat is by far one of the coolest products I have tested. I was so excited about this product because I actually didn't have anything to put my dishes on after washing! There are many neat features about this product:
  • Available in 16 x 18in and 18 x 24in.
  • Machine washable.
  • Can easily be folded for storage.
  • Soft enough for delicate dishes.
  • Holds 4 times it's weight in water!
The drying mat can also be used under a drying rack to absorb dripping water. Folds up and fits nicely in a kitchen drawl or cabinet. You can also use this product under your kitchen appliances like a blender. I have yet to wash mine because it hasn't gotten dirty so i'm not sure if there is any change after washing or warping but I will update once I finally do find out.
The color is a cream which is great because it will fit in with all kitchen themes but there are also 3 other color choices available. I often get compliments and wishes for a product like this which is why I have added this to my Christmas list for a few family members. This product is also available in a few different sizes.

I have seen these items being sold at Bed, Bath, and Beyond. If you have been searching for a product like this I suggest you check this out! The retail value is great at only $4.99! You cannot beat that price.

Please let me know if you have tried this product or are going to check it out! Like I said, GREAT Christmas gift OR housewarming present!

Check out this product and other awesome items at:
You can also find out where this product is available through the website above.

*I received this product complimentary through Influenster Natural's VoxBox.

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizer Wipes

CleanWell Natural Hand Sanitizing Wipes are GREAT for on the go! I like to keep them in my 16 month old's diaper bag and they are alcohol free which makes them safe for me to use on my son's hands AND face.

My first impression on these wipes were that they didn't only sanitize and kill germs but they actually do clean dirt, food, etc off the hands and face. Other products I have used have not always actually removed the dirt and grime from the area. I have used many other wipes before on myself that have contained alcohol and other drying ingredients. CleanWell did NOT dry my skin out or my son's skin whatsoever!

The scent is not strong at all and the texture of the wipe itself is very soft and smooth. My son has never minded me attacking his sweet face with these. I would recommend these to any mom, anyone who travels frequently, or someone has been searching for an easy product. These can be kept in a purse, car, and you can even slip on into your back pocket.

I like how you can get them individually wrapped. They have a whole line of different products you can check out here:

Review: Lovely ME:EX Makeup Base!

Now, let me start off by saying, I bought this & the back of it says "The Face Shop" which is normally where this brand would be purchased, I did not purchase from there. I purchased this from Korea. I am almost positive that this is considered a replica because of the appearance BUT I only paid $1.99 shipped for it & here is what I think...

It comes in a nice 40mL tube which is easy to handle and you don't have to force the product out, barely squeeze it and the product comes out slow and smooth so I didn't make a mess by getting to much. The initial sight of it was a little scary...the product is actually purple! I was under the assumption the product would be like a light skin tone color but it's not, it's more of a lilac/lavender color.

As you can see I tested it out on my hand & actually when blended in the purple disappears and leaves a smooth natural looking shade. This stuff is SO soft. I couldn't believe how soft it made just the top of my hand feel! Especially for the price because I honestly wasn't expecting much. It's kind of one of those things you can't pass up the chance of it being an awesome product when it was that cheap! Anyways, it also DOES have a scent. The scent actually isn't bad at all. It reminds me of some sort of floral scent, if you have ever tried any of the AMUSE cosmetics some of them have a certain smell to them and that's almost exactly what it smells like except lighter. Not bad at all. If you don't do well with scented products then I for sure recommend you don't get this one!

The coverage of it is fairly good, it could be better. I of course still wore my foundation over it but I still needed some concealer in certain areas and over blemishes. I have VERY red cheeks and I was surprised that it even covered the redness as well as it did. I didn't need to use a whole lot of the product because it's one of those where you think you don't have enough but you actually have plenty. I let it dry a little bit before applying my foundation.

The picture above is my hand BEFORE I had applied the base.

This is AFTER I applied it and BEFORE my foundation...There is a noticeable difference as you can see it did even out the redness and put some coverage over the veins.

I didn't experience any dryness nor did it give me an oily feeling. As for my face...it actually did an awesome job at keeping my makeup nice and smooth and it STAYED ON!

All in all, for the price I DEFINITELY would recommend it if you are looking for a nice base. As stated though I do believe it may be a replica of the BB cream the brand makes. If sensitive to chemicals, scents, etc I would recommend not purchasing or contacting the seller to see what other information you can get on it because the information on the back is NOT in English. I WILL continue to purchase this product :)

Thanks for reading! This review is solely based on my opinions and my opinions only!
